If you normally use the WhatsApp desktop client or WhatsApp Web, you have definitely noticed that it is not yet possible to make and receive phone calls and / or video calls on both. As we know, however, the company Facebook has been involved in supporting this feature for some time, as we saw about two months ago in this news.
Call launch begins
Today we find that the function is currently in it release phase for a large portion of users (obviously still not very significant considering the huge portion of users using the instant messaging app), obviously in beta version.
Once available, at the top of the UI, next to the contact or chat name in which you are present, two small icons will appear in the form of a phone (calls) and a camera (phone calls). video), both accompanied by the label “Beta”. WhatsApp has provided two different interfaces for call arrival notification and command handling during a call, where the quick buttons to turn on / off the microphone and webcam are clearly visible.
To date it is still unclear when the feature will be available to everyone, but the start of the feature launch, although it is in beta, brings us closer and closer to using an extremely convenient and important feature, especially in these months when video calling has become extremely important to keeping in touch with loved ones.
