There was a time when Google had taken care to compete against Facebook but, as we all know, the efforts of the Mountain View giant did not bring the desired results. For the past two years, Google+ has officially disappeared from the face of the Earth, or so we thought until Artem Russakovkii, a known surface of Android Police, has discovered some references to Google+ in the Google Phone application.

Google+ is still with us

In fact, as you can see from the various pictures in the gallery below, the business contact card shows a real Google+ link under the heading “AboutIf you click, the Google+ link will take you to landing page of Google where precisely the concept that the service is no longer available is emphasized.

It is worth noting that the Mountain View company has not yet taken steps to remove once and for all a reference to a service that is no longer active, in fact you lose the opportunity to use the “About” panel to add information that may be more useful for users and also for businesses.
